Prepare yourself with tips and a training schedule to improve your strength, stride and stamina. Whether you're training for the Long Beach Marathon or just want a better time on the strand, you'll learn to skate faster and more efficiently. Learn basic strategies such as pacing, knowing your highest endurable speed, edging, drafting, passing, declines, starts, and LOTS more. Pre-requisite - Students should be able to effectively stop.

- Heather Lacayo, California Skate School's
Orange County Manager, holds many National inline racing titles. Heather
is a United Skate Schools Group (USSG) Strategic Advisor and Skate Education
Specialist. She is an ACE certified fitness instructor and NASM Certified
personal trainer. Heather is well known throughout the inline skate industry
for her appearances in events and media such as the ESPN X Games, the
Long Beach International Marathon, the Northshore Marathon, the "Skate
Great" Instructional Video, and Fox Sports television. Her publishing
credits include Fitness, Shape, Self, Fitness and Speed Skating Times,
and Inline Magazine.
Directions - Clinics will be held in Long Beach located in the beach lot located off of Ocean Blvd at Granada Ave near the beach-front restaurant, Sunsets on The Beach. The lot is just south of the Long Beach swim center. This is the part of the boardwalk between E. Livingston and Bay Shore Avenue. - Map
